FLINTA SOCCER

History

A dedicated collective of FLINTA-identifying individuals  recognized the need for a safe and welcoming soccer space for those who experience gender marginalization. Their vision centered on providing an inclusive environment for trans, nonbinary, intersex, agender, gender non-conforming, Two-Spirit, and queer womxn.

KICK AROUNDS

The FLINTA Soccer Advocacy Committee organizes two drop-in sessions each month—typically held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at Congress Park or Cheesman Park.

  • Scrimmage & Drop-in Play (2nd Saturday): A fun, social, and low-pressure session open to all skill levels. This is a space to play freely, connect with others, and enjoy the game in a welcoming, affirming environment.

  • Technical & Drill-Based Sessions (4th Saturday): Designed for those interested in building their skills in a more structured setting. These sessions focus on drills, technique, and individual development—still with the same community-centered spirit.

All are welcome, whether you're stepping onto the field for the first time or looking to level up your play. Come as you are—there’s a place for you .

afc peaks

On August 29, 2025, AFC launched its first-ever all-FLINTA-identifying team — officially named AFC Peak. The team proudly competes in the Apex’s Women’s League. This moment represented a bold step forward in visibility and inclusion within the sport, as players took the field united by identity, community, and love of the game.

AFC Peak is more than just a team — it’s a space intentionally built by and for FLINTA-identifying players. The vision is growing: in the near future, AFC Peak aims to expand into two dedicated squads — one recreational and one competitive — to support a broader range of playing experiences and goals.

Soccer is just the beginning. Community is the heart. Come be part of it.
